Mark Phillips - close to a return
SOUTHEND United centre-back Mark Phillips is closing in on a return from a hamstring injury.
The 28-year-old has missed Blues' last five matches with the problem he picked up during training.
But he could soon be back in action.
"I've stepped things up now and I'm sprinting again," said Phillips.
"I've been kicking the ball long distances too and the physio has told me we aren't far off now, which is obviously good news."
